New York — State of New York v. C&J Enterprises, LLC, 2020 NY Slip Op 00024, decided January 2, 2020. The New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, held that an LLC’s managing member could be held personally liable for the LLC’s violation of a consent order under the responsible corporate officer doctrine. The member was aware of the violations and held a position of authority to address the problems.
