Louisiana - S.E. Property Holdings, LLC v. Chunn, No. 17-246, decided 11/8/17. The Louisiana Court of Appeal ruled that the specific provision of the LLC law which restricts a judgment creditor of a debtor member to a charging order supersedes the more general provision of the civil procedure code regarding discovery by judgment creditors. Thus, the judgment creditor did not have the right to discover the LLC’s financial records because the creditor did not have management rights.
