A pioneer in data analytics, Sandeep Sacheti has spent more than 15 years in customer-driven research and operations and held a number of senior risk management, decision science, and operational positions during his career. He holds numerous patents in the space of information management, fraud detection and decision science.
Sacheti was named to the Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services (CLS) executive management team in 2012 in a newly created role as Vice President of Customer Insights and Operational Excellence.
In this role, Sacheti leads a team that combines market research and analytics to identify customer trends, drive product development and improve operations across CLS businesses. This team identifies transformative opportunities in the legal services and risk management industry by analyzing the data exhaust from the transactional businesses performed at CLS which includes the business formations, service of process documents, trademark filings, lien filings and millions of other legal transactions.
Sacheti was most recently the Head of Business Risk and Analytics U.S. banking for UBS, where he devised a strategy that enabled financial advisors to make analytical-driven recommendations to drive down the cost of debt for clients.
Prior to that, he enjoyed a 14-year career with American Express at which he served in a number of management roles, including Vice President, Risk Management. In this position he led a team that provided small business specific risk and capacity assessment based on company financials, commercial and consumer bureaus and public information. Under his leadership the commercially underwritten portfolio grew two-fold. During his tenure at American Express, Sacheti was named CSBS Champion, the highest employee award given at the organization.
Sacheti received his masters of science, resource economics from the University of Massachusetts and his Ph.D., Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
