Richard Flynn is the Group President and Chief Executive Officer of Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services (CLS). Under his leadership, CLS has become one of the largest, fastest-growing and most profitable businesses within the Wolters Kluwer organization. Flynn has a long track record of delivering strong results while also driving breakthrough innovations. He has a deep passion for developing talent and for discovering the next big growth opportunity.

The branded businesses within the CLS portfolio include – CT Corporation, NRAI, BizFilings, CT Lien Solutions, Corsearch and TyMetrix – all recognized leaders in their respective markets. Flynn has leveraged his experience in the financial services industry to apply proven best practices of data analytics, customer service and product innovation to reinvent the way legal professionals manage and conduct their business. As the role of the legal professional continues to evolve, CLS has emerged as the partner of choice delivering a range of information services and software to professional clients across the globe.

Prior to his appointment, Flynn held a number of senior-level positions during his 18-year career at American Express. His career experiences and expertise range across finance, risk management, information management, database marketing, new business development, product management and general management. His last position with American Express was Senior Vice President and General Manager for OPEN, the market leader in U.S. card businesses dedicated to small businesses. In that role, he successfully led the business through the credit crisis and implemented a new growth strategy focused on payment product innovation for B2B customers.

Flynn received his bachelor of science degree in finance and International business from New York University and a master’s of business administration in finance and accounting from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
